Site Survey

An important opportunity for both customers and ourselves to view the proposed development site, and to exchange ideas on the design and scope of the proposed building. This also enables us to determine and advise on requirements for base, civil works and planning permission where relevant, and to determine access and working space available.

Delivery and erection of building

As set out in specification provided by Sandford Lodge to individual customers' requirements

Walls

Buildings are crafted from Northern European spruce selected from well-maintained sources, which provides strength, durability and insulation allowing all year round use. Logs are cut from aged Northern European spruce with a minimum growth period of 75 years, and kiln dried to a moisture content <12%. Walls are constructed from 68mm x 135mm rebated draught proof interlocking corner joints, incorporating a triple tongue and groove.

Roof

A purlin construction with 68mm x 200mm timbers. A 22mm x 110mm tongue and groove roof deck, covered with a colour choice of Katepal bitumen roofing material (meeting the requirements of European Standard EN544) laid on a breathable membrane.

Ceiling

Insulated with a 35mm double foil composite board within the ceiling void, and a 22mm tongue and groove ceiling board.

Floor

Insulated with a 35mm double foil composite within the floor void, and a 28mm tongue and groove floorboard.

 

Joinery

High performance purpose made doors and windows are manufactured in laminated Northern European Spruce with a three lacquer impregnated finish. Window designs offer a tilt and turn facility and excellent security benefits with Assa locking mechanisms and toughened low 'E' sealed double-glazing as standard. All external doors are fitted with high security locks.

 
 

Timber & Preservative Treatment

All timber is treated on site to the client's colour choice from our standard range of micro porous based treatment systems. Base timbers are pressure treated with preservative prior to supply and erection.

 

 
 

Electrical

Chrome finished 12v(50w) flush spotlights and low level double sockets are provided as standard. Heating is provided by electric convector heaters.

 
 

Rainwater Goods

Supply and installation of rainwater guttering and down-pipes (black PVC finish).

Decking / Roof Overhang

As per details specified in quotation, these items can be customised to suit your personal requirements.
